Tai chi. Kung Fu. Qigong. A full display of student accomplishment was on display as the Lau Kune Do Temple of Martial Arts Santa Barbara celebrated its 23rd anniversary by demonstrating what had been learned over the year.
Held annually on the first Sunday in November, the event featured foundational forms such as tai chi eight positions and kung fu basics through unarmed hurricane hands to sword, staff and nunchaku performances. As 40 friends, family and practitioners watched, students honored the tutelage of Sifu Rafal Brzozowski. Student and instructor awards were distributed, markers of Lau Kune Do Santa Barbara being honored as the LKD temple of the year for the third consecutive time.
The 24th annual demonstration will be held at the temple on Sunday, November 2, 2025, and will be open to the public.
