Kung Fu

Kung Fu means learning a skill that takes time and effort.

Lau Kune Do was created by Master Richard Tsim in 1975. Master Tsim used his experience and training in Wing Chun, Hung Gar, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu and the internal arts of Ba Gua, Tai Chi and Qi Gong to create the unique style we now call Lau Kune Do.

Lau Kune Do Kung Fu style is a modified form of Wing Chun with Hung Far and Northern Shaolin influences. Students learn a unique, close-range hand-to-hand fighting method relying on economical and compact movements, and fast and powerful punches and kicks, to overcome an opponent. Their training also includes a broad range of traditional Chinese weapons.

Kung Fu is a way of life

The value of Kung Fu goes beyond fighting skill. It is a philosophy that brings discipline, simplicity, balance and purpose to one’s way of life.
